How do I set up online booking for my customers?
Setting up online booking is simple. You can embed our booking widget on your existing website, use our hosted booking page, or build a complete website with our website builder. Customers can see real-time availability, pricing, and book instantly.
How do payments work? How do I get paid?
HQRent has a payment processor built directly into the software, and onboarding is quick and easy. You set your own bank account for deposits, track all transactions from your dashboard, and manage payouts on your schedule. We also support some external payment processors for businesses that prefer an alternative.
Can I require customers to upload license and insurance before or during booking?
Yes. You control this. The software lets you require documents before booking, after booking, or at pickup. You can also choose not to require them at all and collect documents in person. This keeps the booking flow in your hands and reduces abandonment when customers do not have documents ready.
How do contactless or self-service rentals work?
Contactless or self-service rentals are supported by handling all paperwork online before the customer arrives: contract signing, driver's license upload, insurance upload, and payment. Once that's complete, you send the customer the pickup location, unit number, and any access instructions (for example a lockbox code) via automated messages. How you handle the actual handoff—staffed, lockbox, or another method—is up to you.
Can I set specific pickup and drop-off time windows?
Yes. You can configure custom pickup and drop-off time windows for each day of the week, and these settings are configurable per location. You can set multiple time slots per day, such as a morning window and an evening window, so customers can only select from the times you allow.
