You can place an authorization hold on a customer's card to reserve funds without charging them. The hold secures the rental before pickup. Holds auto-renew every seven days so they stay active on longer rentals. You are not charged processing fees until you capture the hold. After the rental you can capture the full amount, a partial amount, or release the hold. You can also cancel a hold to remove it from the customer's statement.
